Tourism - Luxury Retreats

Luxury Retreats is a Montreal-based luxury vacation rental company with over 4,000 listings worldwide and excellent customer service. In 2017, it was acquired by Airbnb, although Luxury Retreats continues to operate its services from Montreal.

Luxury Retreats hires Ixone Isasi, founder of PSDigitals, to manage this multi-million-dollar account with the goal of achieving profitability by increasing the number of leads, reservations, and revenue.

The challenge

When Ixone Isasi took over the project, the account's return on investment (ROI) was negative, there was only one person in charge of managing paid media, and a Business Intelligence department had barely been established at Luxury Retreats.

The biggest challenges we faced were the lack of reporting, as without it, it was difficult to understand whether the campaigns were profitable. This, combined with the lack of segmentation and campaign structuring, made it impossible to analyze strengths and weaknesses. Moving forward blindly was virtually impossible to increase profitability.

The solution

We worked closely with the Business Intelligence department to ensure they could create the reports crucial to the business's needs; we analyzed two years of historical account data and built a new, highly targeted campaign for one of the most important destinations. This allowed us to test and analyze the results of the new structure before rolling it out to other destinations.

Once we verified that the setup was correct, we created and launched an entirely new account that allowed us to measure and, therefore, adjust the systems daily to achieve greater profitability.

The results

After a three-month period, the account was already profitable, allowing for a larger budget to be allocated to the most important campaigns to increase leads and revenue.

All of our efforts, led by a multi-million-dollar paid media department, were focused on increasing profitability, allowing Luxury Retreats to grow its revenue.
